Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the iPhone game GEMIFY: Match 3 (“the game”) handles information. The game is made and published by Kwok Ming Leung, an individual developer (“I” or “me”).

1. The game

The game works fully offline. The game itself does not send any information to me or to anyone else. It contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking software, and it does not ask for access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

So that you can continue where you left off, the game stores the following on your iPhone:

• your current game: the board, your score and the internal state the game needs to carry on;
• your best score;
• your Sound Effects and Vibration settings.

The game keeps this information on your iPhone and doesn’t send it to me. Deleting the app removes the game’s data from that iPhone. Copies that are already in an iCloud or computer backup are managed through your backup settings, not by the game.

2. Device backups

Depending on your settings, iOS may include the game’s saved data in your iCloud Backup or in a backup on your computer. Backups are made by iOS and stored in your iCloud account under Apple’s terms, or on your own computer. The game doesn’t send this data to me, and I can’t access your backups.

Backups are not a sync service: your progress does not sync between devices, and restoring a backup is not guaranteed to bring back your game.

3. Contacting support

If you email gemify.match3@gmail.com, I receive your email address and anything you include in your message, such as screenshots or details about your device. I use this only to reply to you and to fix problems you report. I don’t add you to any mailing list, and I don’t sell or share your message, unless the law requires it.

I keep support emails only for as long as I need them to handle your request and any follow-up. Within 30 days after that, I delete the related emails and attachments from the mailbox I manage, including copies in the Sent and Trash folders. You can ask me to delete them sooner at any time.

This email address is provided by Google (Gmail), which processes messages under the Google Privacy Policy. Google may keep backup copies in its own systems and retains data under its own policies. I can’t control those deletion schedules.

4. This website

These support and privacy pages are hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver the pages and protect its network, Cloudflare processes information about each visit. Its privacy policy says:

“The information processed may include but is not limited to IP addresses, traffic routing data, system configuration information, and other information about traffic to and from Customers’ websites, devices, applications, and/or networks.”

Cloudflare also uses traffic data to help identify and block malicious activity on its network, and keeps information according to its own retention practices. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy for details.

I have not turned on Cloudflare Web Analytics or any other analytics for this website. The pages themselves contain no scripts, cookies, trackers or third-party fonts.

5. Apple

The game is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles information about your App Store account, downloads and purchases under the Apple Privacy Policy. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may give me crash reports and summary statistics about the game. I use them only to fix bugs and improve the game.

6. Children

The game is suitable for all ages. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has sent me personal information by email, please contact me and I will delete it.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, I will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Because the game does not collect contact details, I can’t notify you directly.
